Project Overview
Arco Professional Safety Services, one of the UK’s leading providers of specialist training for high-risk environments deliver safety training for working at heights and in confined spaces. They commissioned the solution to strengthen their existing training programmes and improve knowledge retention among trainees. With decades of experience and purpose-built training centres across the UK, Arco recognised the potential of VR to safely expose learners to hazardous scenarios that are difficult to replicate physically and deliver memorable, repeatable training.
Aims of the Project
The aim of the project was to improve the effectiveness of existing health and safety training by offering a more engaging and impactful learning experience. By simulating realistic hazards without exposing users to actual danger, Arco VR helps individuals better understand risks, develop safer working habits, and feel more prepared for challenging environments.
What We Did
Working with industry experts within Arco we developed a suite of VR training modules that replicate the complexity and pressure of working in different high-risk settings. Each scenario was developed using realistic visual environments and interactive decision points, enabling users to practice safety protocols and experience the consequences of unsafe actions.
Project Impact
Arco VR has allowed users to safely experience different hazardous situations in confined space and working at heights from a first-person perspective. The experience enhances awareness and retention of classroom based training, and helps position Arco as an industry leader in professional safety training.
